Support Us
Ensuring Success
Through professional management and careful governance, the festival has enjoyed many years of successful production, but as is common with many Arts activities, the festival relies on support from funding bodies, sponsors and especially gifts from donors to achieve a positive fiscal outcome.
Become Involved
We invite you to become involved in the festival and ensure its success by giving to our DONOR programme. The major benefit of your donation will be your satisfaction knowing you are contributing to this remarkably creative event in such a positive way. But we’d also like to acknowledge your generosity by crediting your gift on our website and in the programme.
Tax Credit Law
New Zealand law provides a 33⅓% tax credit on gifts to registered charitable trusts such as ourselves, however, we are not allowed to provide material benefits to donors in return for their generosity.
Accordingly, whilst we may invite donors to functions during the festival as a token of appreciation for their giving, such functions are not conditional on the gifts being received.
Of course, many of our donors will want to attend the Festival, which is to be expected and encouraged, however according to current law, purchase of tickets needs to be shown as a separate transaction to gifting. As such ticket purchases will be receipted separately to gifting receipts.
Whilst this may sound complicated, we will happily manage the process for you.
