What a wonderful concert last night, Brahms, Beethoven, Novacek, Lilburn and finishing with the astounding Shostakovich Piano Quintet.
The Nelson School Of Music is closed because of earthquake risk and so we have converted Old St John’s into the ‘piano’ concert venue for this Festival.
Not an easy task and complicated by having to have two grand pianos on stage for the PianoFest concerts.
Concert goers will be relieved to know the weather forecast is for cooler, less humid conditions in coming days.
